After leveling the series, South Africa and Australia will face each other in the 3rd test match at Cape Town on Saturday.
The Proteas bounced back in the 2nd Test to level up the series after they thrashed Australia with the Test finishing on only day four. Morne Morkel has been the least successful out of the fast bowling trio but has also soften the Aussies up with plenty of short-pitch bowling, much like Mitchell Johnson. The likely South African line-up will include: 1 Graeme Smith (capt), 2 Alviro Petersen, 3 Hashim Amla, 4 Faf du Plessis, 5 AB de Villiers (wk), 6 Dean Elgar, 7 JP Duminy, 8 Vernon Philander, 9 Dale Steyn, 10 Rory Kleinveldt, 11 Morne Morkel.
Australia’s excellent batting show from the 1st Test went missing and it seems as though Shane Watson will make his return for either Alex Doolan or Shaun Marsh. Michael Clarke is under plenty of pressure with the bat as he hasn’t made a score over 42 since the Adelaide Test in the Ashes. The probable Australian squad will include: 1 Chris Rogers, 2 David Warner, 3 Alex Doolan, 4 Michael Clarke (capt), 5 Steven Smith, 6 Shane Watson, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Ryan Harris/James Pattinson, 10 Peter Siddle, 11 Nathan Lyon.
