Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders will face each other in the 28th match of IPL 2014 at Ferozeshah Kotla, Delhi on Wednesday.
After winning their final clash in UAE against the Mumbai Indians, the Delhi have suffered back-to-back losses against the Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings. Their opening pair of Quinton de Kock and Murali Vijay are superb in srtting the foundation for the team in every match they played. However, they are now required to convert those starts into big scores; de Kock is yet to post a half-century in four innings, while Vijay has one 50-plus score from seven innings. Apart from them, JP Duminy is a valuable assaet for Delhi as he has delivered cameos in every outing. The probable DD squad will include: Kevin Pietersen (captain), Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy, K Jadhav, D Karthik, S Kaul, Mohammed Shami, S Nadeem, Wayne Parnell, LR Shukla, M Vijay.
On the other hands, the Kolkata have now lost four matches in a row since their two-run win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, their out of form batting department, came good in their previous match against the Rajasthan Royals, so much so that KKR were cruising in their chase of 161. But they were remain unfortunate to lose the match which was totally in their pocket when KKR slumped from 121 for no loss to 123 for six, and ultimately finishing 11 runs short of their target. They are in dire need to get over this nightmare and come back strong to win the remaining games. The likely KKR line-up will include: Gautam Gambhir (captain), Sunil Narine, Jacques Kallis, Robin Uthappa, Yusuf Pathan, Shakib Al Hasan, Umesh Yadav, Vinay Kumar, Manish Pandey, Suryakumar Yadav, Ryan ten Doeschate.
