Zimbabwe and Australia will face each other in the tournament opener at Harare on Monday.
Zimbabwe will have a great opportunity to lead the Triangular series which also includes South Africa by playing Australia in the opener who haven’t had too many games recently. Zimbabwe get whitewashed by the South Africa team in all three ODI matches against South Africa but there was promise but it will be interesting to see if captain Brendan Taylor is called back to the team after being dropped. The likely Zimbabwean squad will include: 1 Sikandar Raza, 2 Richmond Mutumbami (wk), 3 Hamilton Masakadza, 4 Brendan Taylor, 5 Sean Williams, 6 Elton Chigumbura (capt), 7 Luke Jongwe/Shingi Masakadza 8 Prosper Utseya/Tafadzwa Kamungozi, 9 John Nyumbu, 10 Tendai Chatara,11 Tinashe Panyangara.
On the other hands, Australia would much rather player Zimbabwe than South Africa in their first game for months as they get all the cob webs out for an eventful couple of months. Australia have left both top order batsmen at home, Shane Watson through injury and David Warner who is expecting a child but it gives a chance to Phillip Hughes who is perhaps the most inform batsman in Australia at the moment. The probable Australian line-up will include: 1 Aaron Finch, 2 Phillip Hughes, 3 Michael Clarke (capt), 4 George Bailey, 5 Glenn Maxwell, 6 Steven Smith, 7 Brad Haddin (wk) 8 Mitchell Johnson 9 James Faulkner, 10 Mitchell Starc/Ben Cutting, 11 Nathan Lyon.
