On Day 2 of opening test match, David Warner provided Australia with a solid start of 113 without loss through an aggressive half century after Sarfraz Ahmed’s belligerent century of just 80 balls lifted Pakistan to 454 on Thursday.
Warner raised his sixth consecutive 50-plus score in Tests and remained unbeaten on 75 off 77 balls, with seven fours and a six, at stumps. Chris Rogers, dropped by Younis Khan on 13, will resume his batting on Friday at 31.
Earlier in the day, Ahmed tormented the visiting bowlers on the grassless pitch by making 109 off 105 balls, hitting 14 fours before Pakistan were wrapped up just after tea.
