New Zealand will begin their tour to UAE with the test series with the opening test to be played against Pakistan at Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

Pakistan are very high in confidence after a massive high by not only beating Australia in the Test series but thumping them by an aggregate of 577 runs. Pakistan will be looking to employ a similar plan for the Kiwis as they did for the Australians which is to use spinners during most of the day but they will also look to tear apart the New Zealand bowlers as well with their batting expertise. The likely Pakistani line-up will include: 1 Mohammad Hafeez, 2 Ahmed Shehzad, 3 Azhar Ali, 4 Younis Khan, 5 Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), 6 Asad Shafiq, 7 Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), 8 Zulfiqar Babar, 9 Yasir Shah, 10 Imran Khan, 11 Rahat Ali.

On the other hands, New Zealand haven’t played a Test match for a number of months and may be a little rusty which was certainly evident in the tour match. Kane Williamson is very quickly becoming one of New Zealand’s greatest assets in all forms of the game but it will be a massive test in Pakistan against a number of in-form spinners. The probable Kiwi squad will include: 1 Brendon McCullum (capt), 2 Tom Latham, 3 Kane Williamson, 4 Ross Taylor, 5 Corey Anderson, 6 Jimmy Neesham, 7 BJ Watling (wk), 8 Tim Southee, 9 Mark Craig, 10 Ish Sodhi, 11 Trent Boult.
