The first episode of Honda’s Classic Corners takes us to Australia’s Phillip Island and its Turn 12. One of the toughest corners in the World Superbike calendar takes both riders and tires to the limits of their abilities. It’s a very long and fast corner followed by a kilometer stretch of straight and flat asphalt. Exiting the 12 properly means carrying the speed on to the straight and consequently the difference between giving the post race statements in “I would like to thank the team for this victory” fashion and “We’re still getting used to the new bike” kind of excuses.
