Thirty years is a long time. It’s especially long time if you’re doing that time. But, this story is not of some unfortunate dude put behind bars because he fought the law. This one is the story of a success, over thirty years long, of a racing team that goes around behind four capital letters – SERT. The Suzuki Endurance Racing Team is the most successful racing team in history of the FIM World Endurance Racing. Their eleven championship titles say that they have been masters of the competition for one third of the championship’s lifetime. Their dominance is such that they have been continuously untouchable for more than half a decade, going from 2005 onwards, with an exception of 2009 when Yamaha decided they wanted to taste the victory champagne. They are currently on top of the championship chart, a few days before the third race of the 2012 season and they’re looking to add another championship title to their victory belt.
