It’s that time of the English Premier League Season when the city of Manchester is divided into two sections. The Blue Manchester and the Red Manchester, the highly anticipated first Manchester Derby of the EPL season will take place at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Manchester United have always been the more dominant of the two Manchester teams, but city’s recent influx of cash and players have seen them throwing a real challenge at the league Title. This season by adding the likes of Sergio Auguero, Samir Nasri and former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves to their squads many people believe this could be their year.

When Sir Alex Ferguson the mastermind of Manchester United was asked the same question he replied “This year it may be City. I think you are a wee bit premature in writing off Chelsea as far as I am concerned. "It’s a six-pointer, no doubt about that. Whichever team wins, it makes a difference but it’s early doors and you can recover from it”

The match is all set to be a humdinger as both Manchester teams between them have two of the top goal scorers of the season in their teams i.e. Wayne Rooney and Sergio Auguero. Sir Alex Ferguson’s men have been victorious the last four times the two teams have met at Old Trafford, and City failed to win away at any top-seven opponent last season.

Manchester City are at the top of the English Premier League Table with 22 points, followed by Manchester United who are at the second spot with 20 points.
