Vancouver Whitecaps FC today acquired Seattle Sounders FC’s natural third round selection in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft and in exchange switched places with Seattle in the 2011 Re-Entry Process Stage 2 Draft order.
Whitecaps FC were originally scheduled to select first overall in each round of the Stage 2 Draft however, after the trade, Vancouver held the 14th selection in each round and Seattle had the opportunity to select first.
With the 14th overall selection, Whitecaps FC passed – exiting from the Re-Entry Process.
Transaction: Vancouver Whitecaps FC (MLS) – Trade first pick in all rounds of Stage 2 of the 2011 MLS Re-Entry Draft Process to Seattle Sounders FC for the 14th pick in all rounds of Stage 2 of the 2011 MLS Re-Entry Draft Process and a natural third round pick in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.
