Netherlands, Belgium and Germany launch 2027 World Cup bid

The 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup bid has been launched by the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. The KNVB had previously expressed its desire to host the event, but expanded to include Belgium and Germany in 2020.

The three nations announced their bid on Twitter with the message “FIFA, you’ve got mail.” The deadline for registration is April 21, and the bid must be submitted by December 8. The congress of FIFA’s 211 member nations will decide the location of the World Cup in May of next year.

The organizers aim to create the best conditions for players and a unique atmosphere for fans, while also focusing on sustainability and responsibility. South Africa and Brazil are also reported to be interested in hosting the tournament.
