Eugenie Bouchard (Westmount,QC) won her second title in as many weeks on Saturday as she was crowned champion of Futures Rising Star, a $10,000 ITF event held in Bastad, Sweden.
Bouchard, seeded third in the tournament, took on Milana Spremo of Serbia in the final. The 18-year-old Canadian dominated her opponent en route to 6-3, 6-0 victory. Bouchard did not drop a set and lost just 17 games in the tournament to capture her fourth ITF Pro Circuit title. Currently ranked no. 352 in the world, Bouchard is enjoying a 10 match winning streak ahving also won another $10,000 Challenger in Bastad last week.
Ranked no. 7 on the ITF world junior rankings, Bouchard is preparing for junior Roland-Garros which is set to begin on June 3.
