Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor clearly states that PAF did not cross the LOC (00.27 seconds into the video) and fired 6 missiles into barren land to prevent further escalation.

Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor continues and states that two IAF planes were shot down in a dog fight and no PAF plane is missing or shot down as per Indian claim.

Mr. Ghafoor further states that two Indian pilots have been captured and one of those two pilots is receiving treatment at CMH (civil military hospital). He also states one has been caputured and Mr. Ghafoor displays various items that were recovered from this pilot in Pakistan custody. The pilot in custody was later identified as Indian air force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman.

Earlier, at 1:19 AM – 27 Feb 2019 Mr. Ghafoor tweeted the following:

In response to PAF strikes this morning as released by MoFA, IAF crossed LOC. PAF shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace. One of the aircraft fell inside AJ&K while other fell inside IOK. One Indian pilot arrested by troops on ground while two in the area. (my bold)

It is clear from Mr. Ghafoor’s tweet and statement that a total of two or three pilots crash landed in POK/Azad Kashmir.

Out of the three shot down pilots, Indian air force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman was returned back to India on March 1,2019.

So what happened to the other two Indian air force pilots.

Mr. Ghafoor at the ISPR press conference on Feb 27, 2019 claims one of the Indian pilots was at CMH hospital receiving treatment.

However, Mr. Ghafoor clearly states in his tweet that two IAF pilots besides Abhinandan Varthaman are on the run. It is possible that one of the pilots on the run was captured and was being treated at CMH hospital.

Here is a video corroborating Mr. Ghafoor’s statement of a total of 3 pilots.

This video is the first hand testimony of a person who was at the location where Indian air force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman was captured. In the video you will clearly note that he mentions that there were three pilots in their individual parachutes. At 1:09 minutes into the video the person being interviewed clearly states that the other pilots who had not been captured at this time were Sikhs.

I have no reason to disbelieve ISPR or Mr. Ghafoor as they are the purveyor of truth in Pakistan.

Having reviewed all the statements from ISPR’s Mr Ghafoor, his tweet and the independent testimony of the old man in the above video it is clear to the writer that Pakistani security services murdered the other two Sikh Indian Air force pilots or is holding them as POW for future pilot exchange.

Some minor footnotes: Two Indian air force planes being shot down was also claimed in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech in the parliament of Pakistan.
