Nestled in the lush surrounds of a tropical rainforest atop Mount Faber, and strategically located just 10 minutes from the city, The Jewel Box at Mount Faber is undeniably Singapore’s iconic hilltop destination.

Owned by Mount Faber Leisure Group, The Jewel Box was instrumental in transforming Mount Faber from a Cable Car station to Singapore’s second most visited paid tourist attraction and Singapore’s Iconic Hilltop Destination.

In 2010, in line with the third phase of the organization’s strategic development plans for The Jewel Box at Mount Faber, the Cable Car underwent a significant transformation. The $36 million project bore fruit to the 4th and latest generation of Cable Cars which embodied new technology with cutting edge, state-of-the-art design and was officially known as ‘Singapore Cable Car Ride’. When night came, the 67 stunning cabins would sparkle like a necklace of gems against the cityscape and harbor.

The transformation also brought along an exciting highlight that caught world’s attention – the exquisite World’s First 7* VIP Jewelled Cabin. The Swarovski encrusted cabin featured roof illumination and crystal-paneled glass floor with foot ambient lights, leather upholstered seats, and many other luxuries.

The unveiling of The Jewel Box’s iconic extension together with the renaming of The Jewel Box’s other epicurean restaurants to gem-inspired titles; Black Opal and Sapphire, completed phase two re-conceptualization and finalized the full integration of The Jewel Box branding, where excitement from the sparkling “Gems” were ready to be discovered within Singapore’s Iconic Hilltop Destination.

The Jewel Box also housed many firsts, including the world’s first SKY DININGTM onboard Singapore Cable Car, world’s first 7-Star VIP Jewelled Cabin, its undisputed status as Singapore’s first and only Cable Car, Asia’s first Cable Car Museum and even a world’s best toilet.

Since its inception in 2005, The Jewel Box has constantly upgraded its facilities and maintained top-notch service standards. Stunning views of the harbor, city skyline and Sentosa, memorable epicurean experiences, attentive service and an attention to detail makes The Jewel Box at Mount Faber the ideal venue for any occasion.

These brought numerous accolades; evidenced by The Jewel Box’s recognition as 2nd most visited paid attraction in Singapore and was accredited as a Singapore Service Star by Singapore Tourism Board in the most recent.
