Award-winning playwright Katori Hall’s play, Hoodoo Love, comes to the Ruby Theater at the Complex. Set in 1930’s Mississippi, Hoodoo Love weaves a story of love, jealousy, mystery and voodoo magic. The play is critically acclaimed for its dynamic narrative and skillful use of language to capture the culture and spirit of the Blues. Although it is a story filled with dark elements, it is ultimately about perseverance and hope. This is the debut production from AGS Theater, Los Angeles’ newest theater production company.
