Journey’s End: The REP Honors Veterans With WWI Drama

Repertory East Playhouse (Newhall, CA)

The REP honors veterans with this staging of R.C. Sherriff’s 1928 masterpiece, Journey’s End. Set in 1917 and based on the British playwright’s own experiences in the trenches, Journey’s End centers on 18-year-old Second Lieutenant Raleigh, who arrives on the battlefield and encounters his former schoolboy friend, Captain Stanhope. It’s a gripping tale that incorporates humor, heroism, friendship and insight into the human spirit. Additionally, the REP has created and is hosting an on-site Veterans Memorial and Appreciation Museum, aimed at recognizing and celebrating Santa Clarita’s veterans of foreign wars. Learn more…
