This Memorial Day weekend, the streets of Silverlake will come alive for the third year in a row with great music from more than 35 emerging, local and national bands; 75 craft vendors; and upwards of 40 stand-up comics, not to mention appearances by nationally-known authors; beer, wine and mixed drinks for sale — and of course, at least 15 of L.A.’s famous food trucks serving up the latest and greatest movable cuisine. Ground zero for this great all-city event is Santa Monica between Sunset and Commonwealth, where the non-profit Los Angeles Arts & Athletics Alliance will turn this classic neighborhood into the ultimate two-day destination for art, music, food and fun.
