Pasadena Pro Musica’s powerful chorus comes alive this Spring with their performance of Passion Music at the city’s stunning Neighborhood Church. Close to fifty voices strong, the ensemble is set to sing the St. John Passion, a starkly beautiful work by 17-century German composer Heinrich Schütz. And following their mission of introducing little-known works to a wider audience, they’ll also take on the rarely-performed Lagrime de San Pietro, a set of sacred madrigals by Orlando di Lasso, a Franco-Flemish composer of the late Renaissance Era.
