His new album, Son of a Rudderless Boat features 10 acoustic-flavored tracks that both engage and entertain, with zinger lyrics and a sound that borrows from classic folk, bluegrass, blues and jazz, without getting too cozy with any of those descriptors. His recent coming-out party at the Lunenburg Folk Festival in Nova Scotia earned him a long standing ovation, and a buzz status among the crowd and industry vets alike for the weekend. He has placed twice in the Telluride Bluegrass Festival song contest, and played legendary folk rooms The Yellow Door (Montreal), The Free Times Cafe (Toronto), and Club Passim (Cambridge MA). His music gets played both regionally and nationally on Canadian public radio, and he tours more and more every year.
