Welcome to ELECTRO SWING CLUB the one and only Toronto monthly event where vintage swing meets modern beats. With the economy dabbling in depression its time to put on your glad rags, escape the daily humdrum and check into the speakeasywhere drinks flow free and music, dance and debauchery rule the night. Please leave your prohibition sensibilities at the door. Spreading like wildfire across Europe, the ELECTRO SWING sound is an intoxicating mix of old and new, fusing traditional swing with electronic music. With reworks ranging from House & Electro to Dubstep, Drum & Bass and Hip Hop, the genre boldly revives the sounds, spirit and fashion of the 1920s – 40s, giving them a bass-heavy dancefloor edge. With packed nights set up by our friends in London, Paris, Tokyo, Vancouver and beyond, it’s time for Toronto to join the fray, launching a new Electro Swing Club on April 13th at The Gladstone Hotel.
