Sing For Your Heart 2012 Presents Sichuan, Chengdu, China to Toronto to raise funds for Heart and St

The 2012 Sing for Your Heart Gala, organized by the Chinese Canadian Council of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, is holding its annual black tie affair to raise funds to promote heart health in the Chinese community and to raise funds for ethnicity-related research in heart disease and stroke. The event titled Chengdu, Land of Abundance will be held on May 26, 2012 at the Hilton Suites Toronto/Markham on Hwy 7 and Warden at 6 PM. To continue the galas China 360 tradition, sampling flavours and the atmosphere from all over China, the 2012 Sing for Your Heart gala is proud to present Sichuan, Chengdu as this years highlighted city for the gala. The event will give a tour around the home of the famed giant pandas through renowned Sichuan Cuisine, images, unique dcor, videos and the famous Sichuan Face Change Performance. Traditional Sichuan dishes will be served to guests along with a live cooking demonstration to give everyone a taste of the rich Sichuan, Chengdu food culture. Furthermore, the gala will feature a live on stage Chinese Calligraphy. Sing-for-Your- Heart is the Councils only large scale fund raising event as the Council devotes its effort in health promotion among the Chinese community says Dr. Gordon Moe, President of the Chinese Canadian Council of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. Other highlights of the gala include two feature performers; the past winners from the 2011 Sing for Your Heart Asian Canadian Talent Search: Inah Patrizia and Roy Tugbang, performances by charity singers, a live auction and a silent auction. As an annual fundraising event organized by Chinese Canadian Council of the Heart and Stroke Foundation, this year marks its 22nd year. The goal this year is to raise $200,000.
