Hey Everybody. The Fast Folk Underground returns to the Free Times Cafe (Toronto’s longest operating folk venue) for one night only (crazy). www.eugeneripper.com www.reverbnation.com/kimberlyoconnor This laid back stage, nestled in the back room of Judy’s place on College Street is one of my personal favourites in the big smoke. Perfect for an unplugged show…which is exactly what’s up on Friday May 25th. As usual, I’ll being doing my absolute best impersonation of myself backed by some of my favourite musical pals…Adam Warner on drums and percussion, Ray Walsh on just about everything he can get his hands on. Probably more fine musicians to come – depending on who I can hoodwink into this caper. Kimberly and I have be talking about doing a show together for years now.: Halifax, Vancouver and now Toronto. Needless to say, I’m thrilled that we’ve nailed down a date and it’s all systems go! Kimberly is a true talent and a charming, captivating performer to boot – a natural, as we say in the biz – she writes cool songs too! That’s the line up so far…it’s gonna be massive – you know, in it’s own way. If things line up with yer sked and life in general… look forward to seeing you there. Awesome food btw @ The Free Times and a convenient (and licensed) front patio area for my friends and fellow travellers who like to either swell with fresh air or smokes.
