Flight Theater at The Complex (Los Angeles, CA)
Following a sold-out run at South Coast Repertory, Orange County’s theatrical outsiders, Monkey Wrench Collective, will revive their production of Mark Ravenhill’s pool (no water) at The Flight Theatre in The Complex as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival. In the play, a famous artists reunites her old group of friends at her home for a night. When the host suffers a horrific accident, her friends, amidst their guilt and horror, cannot resist the compulsion to ruthlessly exploit her tragedy for their own aesthetic ends. Exploding with dance, rock music and movement, this dynamic modern theater piece explores the artistic temperament, the competition inherent in creative pursuits and the effects of professional jealousy on friendships.
