Promenade Playhouse presents a new translation of Luigi Pirandello’s classic 1921 Italian play 6 Characters Looking for an Author. Adapted by David Harrower, 6 Characters is a satirical tragicomedy in which six fictional characters arrive at a theater company’s rehearsal in search of an author to present their stories. Lines between reality and fiction become blurred as the characters interact in this play within a play, leading to fascinating insights on society and the nature of art and entertainment.
