Theatre Tribe presents the Los Angeles premiere of The Sleeper, an award-winning comedy by actress/playwright Catherine Butterfield. Set in post-Sept. 11 suburbia, a “security mom” is attracted to her son’s tutor, a handsome man with different political leanings than her own. Her awakening leads to a strange series of events that threaten to cause all kinds of mayhem. Butterfield’s previous plays include Joined at the Head and Brownstone, and she is also a writer for the hit TV series Grimm. The Sleeper earned the the Kaufman & Hart Award for Best New American Comedy.
