Long Beach Symphony Orchestra: "Vienna Nights: Romance and Rhythm"

From merry widows to sleeping beauties, Mexican waltz kings to traditional heavy hitters, the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra presents Vienna Nights: Romance and Rhythm. Under the leadership of Music Director Enrique Arturo Diemecke, the LBSO will stage operetta master Franz Lehár’s Die Lustige Witwe (The Merry Widow), Tchaikovsky’s gorgeous Sleeping Beauty Suite, Mexican “waltz king” Juventino Rosas’ signature Sobre las Olas, and Ravel’s thrilling La valse waltz. And in the middle of it all, noted pianist Angela Cheng will take center stage for Mozart’s Piano Concert No. 21.
