Outfest 2012 presents This Is How We Do It, a program of six dark and compelling short films about power, secrets and control. The program features such films as A World for Raul, the story of a clash between 13-year-old Raul and the local landowner’s son, and director Ian Samuels’ The Eyes and the Ice, in which a man must contend with insecurities about his relationship — and what appears to be a human eye frozen in the ice outside his vacation cabin. The program also features Kiss Me, a tale of secrets and death set in the shadowy world of East Los Angeles boxing, as well as a trio of films from foreign nations: Germany’s Boys Village, India’s The Night Is Young and Serbia’s Sergeant.
