Black Eyed Peas rapper Allan Pineda Lindo Jr. — better known as apl.de.ap (pronounced “Apple D Ap”) — takes center stage at the Hollywood Bowl to celebrate his Filipino heritage with a one-of-a-kind concert featuring a blend of pop and traditional Pinoy, hip hop, original Pilipino music and more. He’ll be joined by fellow Peas will.i.am and Taboo, plus a large lineup of local and homeland artists, along with co-hosts Lou Diamond Phillips, Vanessa Hudgens, Jo Koy and Anthony Valadez. Apl has long incorporated his Filipino culture into his collaboration with the Black Eyed Peas, revealing his life story in the aptly titled 2003 song “The Apl Song” from the group’s album Elephunk. Set to join the on-stage party are Nicole Scherzinger, Sandwich and the Philippine Chamber Singers, among many others. Please see the event description for the full lineup.
