Rock Musical Spring Awakening In Concert

Glorystruck Productions brings a new and exciting rock-concert-style presentation of the Tony Award-winning Spring Awakening to Downtown L.A.’s Hayworth Theatre. Based on the controversial 1892 play by Frank Wedekind, Spring Awakening recalls the coming-of-age and burgeoning sexuality among teenagers in 19th-century Germany as they grapple with such issues as teen suicide, pregnancy, sexuality and identity — topics that remain incredibly relevant to youth in 2012. Through the show, the company hopes to raise awareness of Love Is Louder, a campaign started by The Jed Foundation, MTV and actress Brittany Snow to support those feeling mistreated, misunderstood or alone.
