The Press Conference, announcing the mega event of the year – International Fashion Festival Toronto (IFFT) 2012 was held at Radisson Plaza Hotel, Mississauga, in the presence of various media houses on July 3rd, 2012. The press conference was staged by Black Diamond Entertainments (BDE) and Absolute Culture, which are the organizers for the touted event.

The members of organizing committee gave a synopsis of the three-day extravaganza that will be taking place from July 6th to July 8th 2012. The event is in its second year in succession in Toronto after the phenomenal success last year having the record audience and fashion aficionados.

The multicultural event promises to be the highlight of the year, as it will showcase popular models, performers and designers from around the world of Fashion. Starting in 2005, IFFT is held as a series of Fashion Shows and Exhibitions that have witnessed flying success year after year. The event has been able to enhance the glitz and glamour with promising Fashion Shows as its capstone.

The featuring participants in IFFT 2012 include 24 Middle Eastern, South Asian & Western designers from Dubai, Lebanon, London, North America, India, Pakistan and United States along with 6 performances, High Fashion International models, Top Designer Workshops, Hair & Make-up Workshops, Modeling Workshops & Great entertainment for all attendees.

Some of the participating top designers are: Vikram Phadnis, Nomi Ansari, Walid Attallah, Lajwanti, Cara, Rakesh Agarwal, Paresh Gada, Chic, Ahmed Bilal, Deepak Perwani along with local designers such as, Ambreen Azhar, Saira Sheikh. These designers will be featured with international super models such as: Aanchal Kumar, Piya Trivedi, Cybil Chaudary, Charan Dhillon, Candice Pinto, Neha Ahmed, Sabina Pasha, Alesha Raut and many more.

The event will also have performances by Hamza Faruqui, the renowned Bollywood play-back singer who has given hits like “Man tu Talabat” from the Bollywood hit “Superstar”, “Ke Bin Tere Jeena Nahi” from Bollywood hit “Aggar”, “Maula” from “Allah ke Bande”, “Paisa Paisa” from “Apna Sapna Money Money” to name a few.

The TANOURA dance performance by Sufi men, called Darawish is the special highlight of the event. The dance is similar to the Sufi whirling in Levant and Turkey.

IFFT 2012 is slated to be the fashion powerhouse with all the renowned designers, performers and supermodels, to a scale so far unseen. There will also be lifestyle exhibitions and several workshops that will enhance the appeal of the event.

The event is already the talk of the town and more and more numbers are pouring in via direct interactions and social media including Facebook, Twitter, website which guarantees that the IFFT 2012 audience will even exceed the count from the previous year. It is one event that the fashion buffs can’t afford to miss.

The event will be followed by an exclusive exhibition & sale on July 9th for Vikram Phadnis’s stunning collection – Vikram Phadnis’s Secret Vault, at the Radisson Plaza Mississauga, Ballroom.
