Santa Monica Playhouse (Santa Monica, CA)
The Santa Monica Playhouse plays host to a special staged reading of original dramedy Plays in the Park, comprised of three short plays written by Brian Connors, who also directs. This evening of plays features actors Mark Rydell (Robert Altman’s The Long Goodbye and Academy Award-nominated director of On Golden Pond), Allan Miller (Law and Order, General Hospital) and Esai Morales (La Bamba, NYPD Blue). The three plays include Swans, Oxymorons, and Park Strangers, in which a fading stage star is paired with a younger actress in a commercial for an offensive corporation.
