Royce Hall at UCLA (Los Angeles, CA)
It’s a rare chance to hear one of the world’s leading Russian choral ensembles in America when the Moscow Sretensky Monastery Choir performs at UCLA’s beautiful and historic Royce Hall. Known for their full and luminous vocal tone, the Moscow Sretensky Monastery Choir specializes in Russia’s unique tradition of church chants and choral music, as well as music from the first half of the 20th century. Based in a 14th century monastery in the heart of Moscow, they’ve been heard at the Vatican, Notre Dame de Paris and the Library of Congress, as well as a number of international music festivals.
