Archway Theatre presents American Misanthrope. Adapted and directed by Ron Milts, this clever and witty farce based on the comedy of Moliere takes a biting stab at the American political system just in time for election season. No one is spared in this hilarious send-up about political parties, ridiculous candidates, 24-hour news stations, pundits, and pollsters Laugh along as media correspondent Jennifer Basque of the T ‘n’ A News Network contributes up-to-the-minute updates on this comical campaign. Things heat up when the leading presidential candidate, Senator Albert Ceste, allows his jaded opinions of the American electorate loose through a series of honest comments and speeches that raise more than an eyebrow or two.
