Spellbinding beats and visuals will take over the Greek Theatre as Amon Tobin brings his ISAM Live show to the historic outdoor venue. The Brazilian producer-composer-performer is a virtuoso talent who has built his reputation by pushing the boundaries of electronic music into what he calls “sound sculpture.” His 2011 album ISAM, which is the basis of this show, features wild beats and synthesized sounds along with “female” vocals — which are actually Tobin’s own voice run through a digital processor. During the performance, Tobin and his musical equipment are surrounded by a multi-dimensional art installation and light show in a surreal epic of sights and songs. Holy Other opens the show.
