Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra Plays Chopin, Dvorák
Valley Performing Arts Center – Great Hall (Northridge, CA)
Valley Performing Arts Center welcomes venerable European institution the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra. The devastation in Poland caused by World War II nearly halted their music, but the legendary orchestra rebounded and now tours extensively, records and welcomes the world’s finest artists as featured guests. For this concert in the Center’s Great Hall, they’ll be joined by Russian pianist Yulianna Avdeeva, 2010 winner of the International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition, for a presentation of works by Chopin and Dvorák. Antoni Wit conducts.
