Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra: Bach Harpsichord Concerti
AT&T Center Theater (Los Angeles, CA)
Musica Angelica’s 20th anniversary season gets off to a rousing start with a rare performance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Concerto for four harpsichords in A minor. Under the baton of music director and conductor Martin Haselböck, the program also includes concerti for two and three harpsichords by Bach, who’s considered the true master in composing for the instrument. Jeremy Joseph leads the orchestra’s string section, and also plays the harpsichord. The other world-class artists who’ll perform on the instrument are Ian Pritchard, Davide Mariano and Patricia Mabee.
