Miles Memorial Playhouse (Santa Monica, CA)

An innovative work by Louise Reichlin & Dancers, Tap Dance Widows Club brings together an array of dance forms into a unique multimedia presentation that spotlights Hollywood from the 1930s to the present day. Reichlin, Loretta Zerby and Katherine Hopkins-Nicholas, all widows of famous dancers, came together to share memories and conversations about their loved ones, and the resulting work developed into a suite of live dance and multimedia that explores the perception of death and the positive baggage that remains in the spirit of the lost one.
