Get a rare look at the technical side of the movie-making process at this special screening of Francis Ford Coppola’s epic film featuring Gary Oldman as the famed Transylvanian bloodsucker, shown here from a newly struck 35mm print. Set in Victorian Era London, Coppola’s well-reviewed thriller co-stars Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Van Helsing and Winona Ryder as the young woman Count Dracula believes is the reincarnation of his lost love. After the movie, Variety tech columnist David S. Cohen moderates a discussion with members of the production team, who were widely praised for their work and received Academy Awards for Costume Design, Makeup and Sound Effects Editing. Scheduled to appear are several of those winners, including makeup artists Greg Cannom, Michèle Burke and Matthew W. Mungle, and special effects sound editors Tom C. McCarthy and David E. Stone.
