This unauthorized spoof centers on a famous comic strip’s minor character, a filthy child who has grown into a homeless many perpetually surrounded by a cloud of dust. Already living a difficult life, he encounters another stumbling block when he wanders into the funeral of his estranged best friend. The whole gang is there and as he speaks with his long-lost childhood friends, he realizes that he may have an outside shot at redeeming his miserable, grimy life. Adapted as a full-length play based on the Sacred Fools serial PPat30, Absolutely Filthy takes a look at a group of characters after they leave the funny pages and head out into the real world.
