A magical, funny and family-friendly play, Walking the Tightrope makes it West Coast premiere in this production from LAB24, the new in-house company of 24th Street Theatre. Written by British playwright Mike Kenny (The Railway Children, Boy With a Suitcase), Tightrope was the first recipient of Art Council England’s Award for Playwriting for Children & Young People. In it, young Esme arrives for a summer stay at her grandparents’ house, but this time something’s different: Grandma isn’t there. This celebration of multi-generational bonds, family and remembered childhood moments should appeal to all ages, and is recommended for those age 4 or older.
