A quintet of fine Irish lads with an impressive musical pedigree puts on a rousing St. Paddy’s Day show, filled with beautiful ballads and raucous sing-alongs. Shane, Conor and Rory Makem are the sons of Tommy Makem — also known as the “Godfather of Irish Music” — and are keeping his sound alive and kicking, rocking traditional instruments. They’ve joined another set of brothers, Liam and Mickey Spain, to record and perform a broad range of folk music from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and New England, along with rollicking whaling, fishing, mining and even Australian Bush songs.
