In his new musical version of the beloved fairy tale Cinderella, Scott Guy gives the story a modern spin and a couple of twists. This Cinderalla is kind, generous and brainy too. She lives in a materialistic kingdom where the rich and powerful keep all the wealth to themselves. When the prince holds a ball, she sees her chance to speak up about the plight of the kingdom’s overtaxed poor. Her plan encounters some unexpected twists and turns thanks to a misguided Fairy Godmother, a king with a bad eye, a roguish messenger with mischievous plans of his own and cupcake-eating noblewoman intent on winning over the prince.
