Comprised of musicians from all over Latin America — including Puerto Rico, Cuba, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Peru, Colombia and Mexico — Orquesta Tabaco y Ron has toured the world with its high-energy, hard-edged brand of big band salsa music. Puerto Rican pianist and bandleader Hector Manuel Rivera (aka “El Pianista Del Barrio”) fronts this 12-piece group that has recorded four studio albums. Formed in L.A., the band enjoys a dedicated fan base of salsa dancers worldwide and is widely respected by tropical music aficionados and musicians.
