One of the oldest community orchestras in the country, the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra has been treating audiences to great music since 1953. Made up of MDs, health professionals and others, the ensemble is set to premiere an exciting new piece by New Zealander Thomas Goss, entitled Concerto Aotearoa for Harp and Orchestra, written especially for its harpist Christina Kopriva, MD. This latest concert, a benefit to support research on autism spectrum disorders, will also feature Edward Elgar’s famous Enigma Variations.
