A fierce, funny fantasia with music, the world-premiere play with music American Misfit skewers the big American ideas of rebellion and change. Set to the swinging rhythms of rockabilly music, American Misfit tells the post-Revolutionary War story of the Harpe brothers, who launched a murderous rampage as a counterrevolution against the new democracy. Along the way, it explores our addiction to revolution as the story spans American rebels from Washington to Reagan. Michael Michetti directs the show, which was written by Dan Dietz (tempOdyssey, Tilt Angel, The Sandreckoner).
