Robert Clary Double Feature and Book Signing: New Faces and The Hindenburg

Aero Theatre (Santa Monica, CA)

Take in two films and meet actor Robert Clary when he signs copies of his book From the Holocaust to Hogan’s Heroes at the Aero Theatre. Born in Paris, Clary began singing professionally at the age of ten before being deported to a Nazi concentration camp. After the war, Clary began a career in the United States as a comedic actor, starring as Corporal LeBeau in Hogan’s Heroes. See him perform in the 1954 film New Faces, where Mel Brooks earned one of his first writing credits. The movie is about a Broadway producer trying to keep his stage show alive. Then see Clary in The Hindenburg, which portrays a fictional plot to destroy the German airship. Clary will sign books in the lobby before the films and will participate in a discussion after New Faces.
