Opening Reception April 11th 6:30-9pm @ Dimensions Custom Framing & Gallery. Typographica: The Enigma Series is a collection of acrylic paintings on canvas by Alison Miyauchi showing for the first time in Toronto. Alison Miyauchi currently serves as Chair of the School of Communication Design at the Alberta College of Art and Design. While working professionally as a designer, the exhibition is an opportunity to fully display her extraordinary and expansive (averaging three feet by four feet) canvases. Alison’s body of work has been three years in the making and through a series of acrylic paintings on canvas, the relationship between TYPE, MEANING, COLOUR and FORM is examined. A portion of the gallery’s proceeds will be donated to Animal Alliance of Canada.
