All That Glitters On Thursday, April 18th, 2013, Co-chairs Laura Adams and Marie Corsini will welcome an expected 1,800 party-goers to the AGO for the 9th year of Massive Party this year titled Massive Party GOLD. Artists like Johnny Cash, Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons and Gustav Klimt have all played with different notions of gold. Gold can symbolize power, strength, wealth, happiness, love, perfection, intelligence and the sun. For Massive Party 2013, Justin Broadbent Massive Party Artistic Director will explore this precious, sought after metal that has enthralled humanity since the beginning of time. Massive Party GOLD won’t be hard to find from the warm glow that will illuminate the AGO, spilling out onto Dundas Street. Party-goers will enjoy installations and performances by artists who have been inspired by all things GOLD including Thrush Holmes, Tibi Tibi Neuspiel & Geoffrey Pugen, Mango Peeler, Mahmood Popal and Jade Rude. DJ Mensa, Felix & Gani (milk.), Your Boy Brian and a live performance by Maylee Todd will get party-goers on the dance floor with their mash-ups of golden oldies and current tunes.
