All while enjoying hand picked local restaurants and a not so typical night out afterwards. Our restaurant of the month: The Samuel J. Moore is a newly opened West Queen West eatery that pays homage to its 19th century digs by taking the name of its builder. The historic site was once home to Toronto’s first west end YMCA (as well as some of history’s first ever basketball games) before being privatized and later used to house The Toronto School of Art. Now, in its latest iteration, the idea is to restore its standing as a vibrant community hub. What’s included?: Your choice of options from the 3 course set menu below, a complimentary cocktail and free entry to The Drake afterwards to check out “The Digs” live band. Cost?: $35 + service fee. Ya we know…. fantastic bang for your buck! First Course: ~ Daily Soup with seasonal garnish or ~ Salad Greens with vinaigrette, gin soaked blueberries and granola or ~ Grain salad with long grain rice, lentils, rye berries, roasted squash, feta, triple thick yogurt & seedlings Main Course: ~ Pan seared Halibut with braised red cabbage & shaved fennel or ~ Hand chopped sirloin and bone marrow burger with stilton on brioche with frites & fennel catsup or ~ Pearl Barley Risotto with fried sage, roasted cauliflower & parmesan Dessert: ~ Chocolate Pot de Creme with Cenci Questions: please contact Josh Seaton – seatonjoshua@gmail.com or Adam Bent – adam.bent@urbanspoon.com
