Set in 1962 on the eve of Jackie Robinson’s entry into the hall of fame, this baseball-inspired play follows an interwoven storyline in the sleepy town of Cooperstown, New York. Stuck in a dead-end job, former ball player Junior Murphy runs a diner where his sister Sharree waits tables. When a Midwest minor-leaguer arrives for Robinson’s induction, she falls for him causing a collision of race, family, love and baseball that turns the town upside down. Road Theatre Company presents the West Coast premiere of Cooperstown.
