Bilingual Foundation of the Arts (Los Angeles, CA)

Wild in Wichita/Locuras en Wichita is a bilingual romantic comedy about an old raunchy ranchero from Texas and a stuffy Señora from Puerto Rico who find love in a nursing home in Wichita, Kansas. He was married four times, never graduated from high school and likes to eat tacos and drink straight tequila. She was never married, worked as a high school teacher and prefers tostones and pasteles de yautia. Despite having nothing in common, these senior sweethearts — the only Spanish speakers in their home — fall in love and find new ways to enjoy life and amuse themselves while also disrupting the tranquility of everyone around them, including their children. Denise Blasor directs this award-winning play, which will be performed in both English and Spanish (see description for English and Spanish performance dates).
